Install Android 4.2 Jelly Bean On Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 With JellyNoid ROM

You can install Android 4.2 Jelly Bean on Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 using JellyNoid ROM, this ROM was built based on Android 2.3.6 and stable enough to be your main driver.

Thus if you are interested you can proceed to the below tutorial to install JellyNoid ROM to your Galaxy Y. But before perform the installation the are number of things you must read, which are.

  • Firstly root your device and install ClockWorkMod recovery.
  • Don't forget to backup your data.
  • Keep in mind this is not a stock or official ROM released by Samsung.
  • And not to forget to make your Enable USB debugging mode enabled first. By going to: “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”.
  • Remember nobody forcing you to follow the guide, all is your call, therefore follow the guide at your own risk.
Warning: This is a custom ROM, installing it to will probably make your device experience FC error or boot loops, also some of your apps will stop working. If you experience all the said problem, then reinstall the official firmware.

How to update Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 to Android 4.2 using JellyNoid Jelly Bean ROM

Step 1 - Download JellyNoid ROM to your computer, or you can also head to the XDA thread.

Step 2 -You need to connect your Galaxy Y to your computer using the USB cable of yours.

Step 3 -Copy the downloaded JellyNoid ROM zip, then paste the file to your SD card.

Step 4 -Turn your Galaxy Y OFF now, and disconnect it from USB cable.

Step 5 -In this step, you must enter Recovery Mode, by turning ON your device again, then hold these buttons simultaneously: Volume Up + Home + Power.

Step 6 -You will get exclamation, therefore repeat the step for entering Recovery Mode, by pressing and holding Volume Up and Power buttons together. You are inside the recovery mode now.

Step 7 -Inside the ClockworkMod recovery, make a full data wipe. Once you have done with that, continue to search “flash zip from SD card” and press and hold Power button to choose the flash zip.

Step 8 -Hold the Power button for the second time to select “choose zip from sdcard”.

Step 9 -Now you can volume keys to get to JellyNoid ROM zip file (it's the zip file you put earlier on step 3) to select it then use Power button. And then make a confirmation for the installation to take place.

Step 10 -If the installation finished, then go to “+++++Go Back”. Now reboot your phone by selecting “reboot system now” on the recovery. You will see your HTC rebooting now this will take about minutes therefore just wait.

Well done! You have installed Android 4.2 JellyNoid Jelly Bean ROM on your beloved Samsung Galaxy Y S5360.
